Biasutti & Biasutti Gallery is proud to present an exhibition dedicated to Piero Gilardi, one of the most significant members of the Arte Povera Group. The exhibition will focus on different large size works, portions of nature, made of polyurethane foam, a soft, yielding and welcoming material. Taking his inspiration from Pop Art, and particularly from Claes Oldenburg’s soft sculptures, Gilardi followed this new interpretation of how works and spaces combine together. Beaches, river banks, snowy woods are some of his recurring subjects; nature is the true and authentic protagonist of these works, and can be read , hung on a wall or used as a carpet.
