DATES: 17 February - 7 March 2026 Biasutti & Biasutti Gallery is pleased to present “The Poetics of Informal Art”, a group exhibition dedicated to the great artistic movement of the post-war period that marked a profound break with tradition. Informal art rejects codified form, ordered composition, and figurative representation, making way for energy, matter, and gesture, expressed freely and directly. Within this vision, art is not called upon to represent reality, but to become an immediate experience: an authentic act, a living trace of existence. The exhibition brings together works by Alberto Burri, Giuseppe Capogrossi, Giuseppe Chighine, Sam Francis, Pinot Gallizio, Giorgio Griffa, Paul Jenkins, Conrad Marca-Relli, Mattia Moreni, Giuseppe Ruggeri, Gérard Schneider, Shōzō Shimamoto, Luigi Spazzapan, Antoni Tàpies, Mark Tobey and Emilio Vedova—leading figures in a research that redefined the artistic language of the twentieth century through material experimentation, gestural tension, and expressive force. | |||||||||||
