Over fifty years ago (1945) Japan, after the defeat of World War II, entered the new era. Even in the world of artistic calligraphy, the challenge to create the new style of the avant-garde SHODO with high artistic value has begun, following the MAINICHI exhibition, held in 1948. The works that will be presented, about thirty, artistically express the composed Japanese writing from the ideographic one (KANJI) and the phonetic one (KATAKANA, HIRAGANA) by means of a brush and ink (SUMI). These works feature "NIHON NO BUNSHO", which corresponds to a poem, an expression, or a part of a contemporary literary piece. In addition, there are also works that express the meaning of the ideogram and its graphic appearance. SHO (art of calligraphy) is a form of visual art that is achieved by means of writing by modeling it. Point and line. Strokes can be thick, thin, firm, delicate, heavy, light, slow and fast. They must be drawn with a single brushstroke. It is said that the SHO is the "drawing of the heart".
