OMAGGIO A TABUSSO | |||||||||||
From 13 March to 10 May 2014 Biasutti & Biasutti Gallery is pleased to present an exhibition by Francesco Tabusso (Sesto San GIovanni 1930- Turin 2012), one of the most significant Italian painters, who characterized the artistic scene in Turin. Since the early 1950's, he was a student of Felice Casorati, began to participate to different important exhibitions in Italy and abroad and in 1963 he started his relationship with the Gianferrari Gallery in Milan. This exhibition will focus on twenty works that will span the course of Tabusso's career from the early 1950s to 2008 and give an overview of many Tabusso's concepts about the lyrical sense of nature and the ritual gestures of everyday life. Particularly interesting are Macelleria (Butcher's shop - 1977) and Alberta (1978), while one describes the myth of the bull quartered, a very known leit motif, the other enchants with the representation of his butterflies girls, "with large eyes, where pieces of wood are floating". Inverno a Buttigliera (Winter in Buttigliera -1971), Contadino con paesaggio (Farmer in a landscape-1986) and Paesaggio nevoso con vischio (Snowy landscape with mistletoe - 2005) represent his beloved snow, a pure and delicate atmosphere. Nello studio (In the studio - 2006) and Pittore casoratiano (Painter belonging to Casorati's School - 2006) close the exhibition defining the last vital period of the artist, his desire of paintings things in their simplicity. Until the 10th of May 2015. | |||||||||||
