Leo Gilardi. Natura collettiva
OPENING: 3 May 2018 at 6 p.m. 3-31 May 2018 Within the first edition of Fo.To. Fotografi a Torino, lasting from the 3rd of May to the 29th of July 2018, Biasutti & Biasutti Gallery is proud to present the exhibition “Natura collettiva”, dedicated to Leo Gilardi (born in 1987). Belonging firstly to a more artistic training, secondly he approaches the photographic one. He works at the studio MA.LE, in Barriera di Milano district, in Turin. In his works he rebuilds human limbs with photographic paper, denouncing the depersonalization of the technological era and highlighting the action of holding out one’s hand to create a contact between work and person. As the archive photographer of the Fondazione Centro Studi Piero Gilardi, he has been following his father’s exhibiting path for years, being inspired through the collection of the documentation. The corpus of the show is composed of 15 works, analyzing Nature as a media to consider social matters, making people realize that Nature’s aesthetics bring to a pacifying suggestion. An exhortation to consider society as a crucial factor in the natural and social balance. This exhibition reveals one aspect that people cannot help but consider the implicit generational comparison between father and son. An historical, artistic, social analysis of Piero Gilardi’s works immortalized by Leo Gilardi’s camera. Galleria Biasutti & Biasutti,
