Biasutti & Biasutti Gallery opens an exhibition dedicated to the artist Alfredo Billetto (b. Turin 1932). More than twenty works, from 1993 to 2004, mark his great consistency in the layering of the color planes, his firm intellectual measure and his commitment to the choice of a constructed, clear and recognizable language. An alternation of forms, in which the basic and primary element is exclusively pictorial, from "Untitled" in 1993, a large triptych to "Homage to Picasso" in 2004. A refined play of superimpositions pervades Billetto's work , the protagonist painting is at the service of an “overturned writing”, an extremely elegant practice and natural element of the picture. Letters and parts of newspapers characterize "Recovery of memory" of 2003 and "Interior" of 2004, using the image as an imprint and not as a collage, becoming an integral part of a thoughtful pictorial architecture.
