OPENING: 16 March 2006 6 p.m. From 16 March to 29 April 2006 Marina Abramovic, Carla Accardi, Enrica Borghi, Niki De Saint Phalle, Leonor Fini, Francesca Genti, Elke Krystufek, Bice Lazzari, Antonietta Raphael Mafai, Eva Marisaldi, Paola Pezzi, Lisa Ponti, Carol Rama, Stefania Ricci, Marialuisa Tadei Entitled Female Imaginary, this exhibition is dedicated to female artists whose presentation, in the form of a letter addressed to Paola Biasutti, is written by Piero Gilardi. The exhibition is divided into a group of current works and a series of historical works. Gilardi himself comments on how: "... the subdivision suggests to me the idea of confrontation, albeit circumstantial, between one and the other to try to describe the mutations of the female artistic imagination, identifying the elements of continuity and, alongside, the elements of novelty…. ". Various aspects of the work of one or the other artist can be shared that are symptomatic of a mutation in the female anthropological culture, which can also be traced through today's discourses of literature, sociology and philosophy. ".... The evocation touches on the themes of self-awareness of intimate subjective freedom, the relational attitude and dialogue with otherness ....". Thirty works make up the body of this exhibition, the center, full of emotion, sentiment, introspection and poetry. Catalogue available | |||||||||||
