Daniel Spoerri. La storia degli oggetti | |||||||||||
OPENING: 20 October 2022 6 p.m. from 20 October to 19 November 2022 Biasutti & Biasutti is pleased to present the exhibition DANIEL SPOERRI. The history of objects. Born in Galaƫi in Romania in 1930, at the age of thirty he began to devote himself to art, after a past as a dancer, mime, director and theater actor. In 1960 he was one of the founders, with Klein, Arman, Tinguely and others, of the Nouveau Réalisme group, led by Pierre Restany. Through the strong and evocative language, characteristic of this movement, Spoerri's individual research expands into new expressive cycles. The works displayed in the exhibition are the representations of this exploration: small and large compositions tell us the story of the objects. Assemblies adequately inhabited by familiar and unusual artifacts, fragments of things, residues of fabrics, tools of the past found in some shop, adapted to new roles with other meanings. And also the Faux Tableaux-Piège, tables particularly designed in their composition, impossible banquets, in which he imprisons the remains left by fictitious diners. The exhibition will close on the 19th November 2022
